Order Refund/Cancellation Policy - Ethnic Gallery

At Ethnic Gallery, we want to ensure your complete satisfaction with every purchase. Our refund policy is designed to provide clarity and fairness regarding order cancellations and refunds. Please review the following policy before making a purchase.

1. Order Cancellation and Refunds:

1.1 Cancellation Period: If you wish to cancel an order or request a refund, please send an email to within 24 hours of order confirmation.

1.2 Restocking Fees: Please note that a 25% restocking fee will be deducted for cancellations made after 24 hours of order confirmation. No fees will be charged for cancellations made within 24 hours of placing the order.

1.3 Goodwill Credit Refund: As an alternative to a regular refund, you have the option to choose a "Goodwill Credit Refund." This means you will receive a Purchase Coupon for the paid amount price of your order plus an additional INR 250. This credit can be used for your next purchase from our store and has a lifetime validity. It allows you to choose a higher-priced item from our online store.

1.4 Shipped Orders: If you cancel your order before it has been shipped, a 25% cancellation fee will be deducted before the credit is issued. If you cancel your order after it has been shipped, please refer to our Return Policies and Procedures, as applicable fees will be incurred.

2. Returns and Non-Refundable Items:

2.1 Custom Stitched Outfits & Standard Readymade Outfits: We take pride in creating outfits that are tailored to fit perfectly based on the measurements and instructions provided by the customer. Therefore, ill-fitting outfits due to inaccurate measurements are not eligible for return or refund. We recommend getting alterations done locally for a better fit.

2.2 Product Care & Manufacturing Defects: To maintain the product's condition, we strongly recommend dry cleaning. Due to the complex procedures involved in natural dyeing, surface ornamentation, and stitching, some colors may run or fabrics may shrink upon dry cleaning. Please note that these characteristics contribute to the uniqueness of the garment and are not considered manufacturing defects.

2.3 Damages During Transit: We take great care in packaging and inspecting every product before it is shipped. However, any damage that occurs during transit by the shipping/courier agency is beyond our control. We cannot be held responsible for such damages.

3. Return Process:

3.1 Initiate Return: To initiate a return, please send an email to within 24 hours of receiving the item. Include your order number and describe the reason for the return. Please do not send back any items without our consent.

3.2 Report Problems: Please report all issues associated with a single order/package delivery at the same time. Provide specific details to help us understand the issue accurately, as all returned items are examined for defects or variations.

3.3 Return Requirements: Return the item within 7 working days of receiving confirmation from our customer support team. Ensure the item has its original tags attached, original packaging, and is in original condition. Worn, washed, used, or altered items will not be accepted for returns.

3.4 Shipping the Return: Use a registered airmail or courier service as advised in our return authorization email. Keep the airway bill or postal receipt until the shipment is delivered to us. The responsibility for safe delivery rests with you, and we recommend forwarding the shipping details to within 24 hours of shipment.

4. Refunds:

4.1 Custom Stitched/Readymade Size Products: All custom stitched and readymade size products are not eligible for return or refund.

4.2. Fabric Only Orders, Unstitched Outfits, and Ready-to-Wear Products: Returns are accepted for these items only if there is case of damaged/defective or wrong product. If a return request is approved for an unstitched dress, you will be responsible for the incurred shipping and customs/duty charges. Once the returned item is inspected, a refund will be issued within 3-5 business days. Please allow additional 7-10 business days for the refund to be processed, depending on your bank or chosen payment method.

4.3 Shipping Charges: Please note that shipping charges are non-refundable unless stated otherwise. In cases of "Free Shipping" promotions, the shipping charges will not be deducted from the original price, but the customer will be responsible for the return shipping and custom charges.
